Capt. Dexter Simmons is the principal guide for Key West Fly Fishing. All charters include equipment. I provide top quality SAGE fly rods with TIBOR reels, SCIENTIFIC ANGLER lines, leaders and local flys that I tie myself. If you have a favorite rod to bring along, then no problem, by all means bring it. If you would like light tackle spinning gear, I will also provide top quality LOOMIS and SAGE rods with SHIMANO reels and lines, leaders, lures, etc. The 2009-2010 rates for a charter are $600 for each full day (8 hours), $500 for a short day (6 hours) or $400 for a half day (4 hours). That includes two of you, all the tackle, iced down cooler with soft drinks, and your fishing licenses. Anglers are responsible to arrange their own lunches. The fishing charter is an angling adventure in the Fabulous Florida Keys. We cover as many flats as possible in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, the Key West National Wildlife Refuge and the Great White Heron National Wildlife Refuge. Our main quarry is the Big Three - Tarpon, Bonefish, Permit - but we may also go after Barracuda, Shark, Cobia, Mutton Snapper, Jack Crevalle, Mackerel, Pompano, Lady Fish and other salt water species. I normally get a $200 deposit per day in personal check, money order, or credit card via pay pal to be kept in escrow for your trip.
